Penpark is a beautiful country house within the Dartmoor National Park, surrounded by 5 acres of formal and informal woodland gardens with magnificent views in all direction. Designed by Clough Williams Ellis (of Portmerion fame) in the 1920s. The house is a perfect blend of elegance, style and comfort. There is a hard tennis court for guests to use and ample safe parking well off the road. Penpark is ideally situated for exploring Devon, the moors and coast. Exeter is 20 minutes away and Plymouth 30 minutes There are many beautiful gardens to visit near by and there is horse riding, golf and wonderful walking country on the doorstep. |

Breakfast is served at a time to suite our guests (within reason!) and most requests can be catered for. There are many very nice pubs and restaurants nearby which we can book for you - so lots of choice for your evening meal. |

DIRECTIONS
Southbound from Exeter:
Take A38 to Plymouth and stay on it for 17 miles (ignoring sign A380 Newton Abbot), and then take the A382 Newton Abbot turn off. Take third turning off the roundabout at the end of slip road signposted to Bickington. After two miles continue through the village passed the Toby Jug pub and a garage, up the hill, stop at T junction and turn right onto A383 signposted to Plymouth. After only 300 yds turn right again in front of a white cottage, signposted Widecombe 6, Sigford 1 1/2. This takes you over the top of the A38 on a road bridge and up our hill. At the top, in only about 1/3 mile turn right into a tarmac drive which leads up to the house.

Northbound from Plytmouth:
After passing Ashburton on A38 take next turn off, A383 to Newton Abbot. While still on the slip road, turn left signposted Widecombe and Sigford. At the top of the first hill in 1/3 mile, turn right into a tarmac drive. From Newton Abbot: Take A383 Ashburton Road. After approximately 4 miles fork right signposted to Widecombe 6 and Sigford 1 1/2 in front of a white cottage. Go over A38 and up hill for 3/4 mile and turn right into a tarmac drive.
